Boogie down Bronx: hip-hop’s early days – in pictures

French photographer Sophie Bramly spent 1982-4 in the clubs and streets of New York’s Bronx borough, documenting a fresh new subculture that would take over the world. Her book Yo! The Early Days of Hip Hop 1982-84 is published by Soul Jazz Books
